Hi! I'm Brigitte
About me
Ever since I can remember I have always loved teaching. When I was a little girl I used to teach my dolls, now I teach students from all over the world.
Do I enjoy it? Well, YES, I can honestly say that I do! Nothing thrills me more than seeing my students improve and watching their confidence grow.
Oh, and I love the English language too! Which other language has such a complex history; has more exceptions than rules; weird spelling patterns and is a mishmash of other languages? Not to mention homophones and phrasal verbs which make learning the language even more confusing?!?
Now, I know it can be very frustrating trying to learn this wonderful language, but I'd like to encourage you to keep going.... persevere.... don't give up.... with determination you CAN master it, and then a WHOLE new world will open up for you!
Speaking another language is all about confidence. My job as a teacher is to build your confidence, develop your skills and help you speak English naturally.

Experience
I have been teaching in the EFL field since 2012. I have taught both adults and children from all walks of life from beginners to advanced.
I currently teach online and also run a small language school in my home town of Maidstone.
Teaching at different summer schools around England has also been great fun!
My credentials
I am a CELTA certified teacher. CELTA is a qualification for teaching English as a second language and is awarded by the University of Cambridge.
I also have a BA Hons degree in English language and Philosophy.
While in secondary school, I learnt 3 languages (German, French and Afrikaans). Although I can't speak them that well anymore, I can say that it has helped me to understand how to teach and learn a foreign language.
Home educating my 3 children for the past 12 years has also empowered me in so many ways! It has taught me that anything is possible through hard-work and perseverance; to believe in yourself and to always strive to do the best you can.
